Hey kiddies.  I know it’s been a long time since I posted anything other than my twitter round ups, but I’ve been crazy busy as of late.  In the past two and a half weeks I have moved and have been working everyday since.  As of this post, I have worked 14 straight days between my two jobs with no end in sight.

It’s been interesting to say the least.  I am thankful to have my two jobs: Don’t get me wrong.  The paychecks are looking a lot healthier as well.  But all work and no play definitely makes Nick a dull boy.  I want to see how long I can go without a day off.  It’s a macho thing I know, but I want to go as long as I can.  The future looks the same pretty much.  I see myself working for another 30 days straight.  Because of my schedule, I’m finding it hard to have a social life.  Like I had one before.  I can’t remember the last time I went to the movies.  This is summer for crying out loud! And I haven’t seen any of the movies that have come out!  Not good.

As much as I want to just call up some people and go out or have them come over and chill, I need to hunker down and keep my noise to the grindstone.  I need to work my but off now so I can relax later.  I have an interview for an internship this Thursday in order to get more production experience.  I don’t have a problem working for free again because it could lead to a good job in the industry.  Worst case.  I work for free for two months and get more experience on my resume.

I’m watching The Totally Rad Show episode 124 while I’m typing this.  I just heard how Dan got his start in the industry and am psyched at the idea that I too could one day I could get the hell out of customer service.  Basically he said start out as a runner at a production house and work your way up to where you want to go.  He also said an editor is great because you have a lot more runs on the latter giving you more ways to climb to the top.  But while you are working your way up, you also have to make your own videos on the side.  That’s what I have been wanting to do forever, but obviously don’t have the free time right now.  I also need to surround myself with people who want the same things and put our heads together and make some awesome videos.  Anyone?

Okay, I’m done rambling.  I guess I need to get that out into the universe.  This whole blog this is pretty therapeutic.
